say that turning it by hand without pressurized oil flowing throughout the crankcase will cause "spots" as you've noticed. The semi-soft outer layer on the bearings is meant to absorb some immidiate wear from use, thats how they settle in properly. If this is a groove however you may need to get out your micrometer and do a thorough evaluation of the mains. Looking at the pic tho i can see you've wiped away the lube i HOPE you coated the inside with before sealing it up to crank over. If you didnt well there ya go, dry metal to dry metal does that. My opinion, if you did the math correctly and you examined your color codes correctly when you put in your bearings your in good shape. Remember, god invented the torque wrench for a reason.
