Honestly, it was a PITA. It's tight and really hard to get things torqued down properly. Hindsight being 20-20, we both agreed that it would be better to pull the motor out. Plus, the added bonus is you can do lot's of cleanup and maintenance stuff with the motor out quite easily. I just removed turbo's on a motor outside of the car. I still don't know how we did it on his car with the engine in. Seriously, an engine crane and an engine stand are not the expensive.
