| clear. First, I drove around for months with the AIV solenoid removed and hoses cut, before I got around to deleting the AIV's themselves behind the fenders. I didn't have to plug the exhaust tubes because I had an aftermarket exhaust without AVI bungs. A cleaner solution is to remove the AIV exhaust tubes at the midpipes and then plug them with the bolts shown on my website. It can be a bitch to get the exhaust tubes off the midpipes, though.
