Message Okay, I have been trying to figure out this high pitched whine for awhile. I will post the video first then explain to you the things I have done to somewhat isolate the problem.

Dyno Vid

When I first heard it we thought it could be wheel bearings or the diff but after searching for problems related to those two I really wasn't conviced it could be that. I took it for a little run to isolate whether it was boost, power, rpm, or speed related.

I did two full throttle runs at 9psi and 15psi, did not seem to make a difference.
Then I took it down a long stretch of road, 2nd gear full throttle the noise came in right away when the power kicked in, shifted to third, full throttle heard it when I was in power but I let off the throttle until I stopped hearing the whine, I reached 6700rpm at 100mph and no noise.
It seems the noise comes from power/full throttle

After this I started to tell myself that it was "turbo death whine", although after a few more searches I came up with some other possible scenarions since I was not fully convinced it were the turbos since the car pulls very hard with no loss in boost at 15 psi, no oil leaks, and only light white smoke when letting off the throttle.

I came up with this thread that explained it could be a whine from the intakes "hoot". I just wanted to come on here and maybe someone else can really explain what it is and give me a better idea on what to look/test for.

Thanks,
Justin
