Well, that is not the correct way to test your injectors, the manual most likely is refering to test the CAS/spark. In order to test your injectors, you can do couple of things, you can get yourself an OHM meter, remove the Injector plugs, ohm out the injectors, you should get a reading between 11-14 ohms, any thing above that indicates a bad injector.
Also, you can listen to your injectors firing using few tools, they one that doesn't require you a fancy too, is just a long screw driver, stick it on the top of the injector while th engine is running and you can hear the injector clicking, indicating opening and closing. Cheers, Rafi
