Message I've done a pile or research and I have found a few anomolies.
I feel a need to replace my oem oil cooler to provide that extra assurance after my rebuild with larger turbo's etc.
I'm looking to the Z1 Oil Cooler Kit, the CZP (Nismo) Oil Cooler Kit or the CZP (Stillen) Oil Cooler Kit.
Please correct any missinformation I have acquired.
1. The Z1 and Nismo kits both connect to the oem connections insofaras oil flow routing?
2. The Stillen kit utilizes the oil filter sandwich adapter thereby sending the cooled oil to the engine and not the sump like the others?
3. There's an oil flow restrictor in the (oem) inlet hose just prior to the oem oil cooler that allows flow after 43psi?
4. When using the Z1 or Nismo Oil cooler Kits this psi restrictor is no longer retained thereby allowing constant flow due to the removal of the original oem feed hose?

The reason for the previous questions is that I can see a more effective oil cooler system when the pressure restrictor is out of the picture. As long as the feed lines are small enough as to maintain the flow's pressure, I should be fine, correct?
If #4 is an incorrect assumption then the only viable choice would be the Stillen and that would mean blocking off the oem lines, correct? In my mind, having cooled oil sent to the engine rather than back to the sump is a much more effective method, right?
This is my way of trying to sort out a bit of conflicting info I found in my research.
Thanks in advance,
John
