The cranks and cranks and cranks part coupled with no fuel pump buzz leads me to think fuel pump relay. My Prelude had one that was going bad but was not fully failed - sometimes it would work others not. It got to the point that I could just keep cycling the key from off to on until I heard the fuel pump buzz - there was no starting until it did. But, you also wrote that when you first turn the key it will barely turn over, but once it does then it cranks at normal speed - is this true? That condition, assuming a strong battery, to me indicates a starter going bad. Does it always start properly when it is cold? If it is more likely to happen when the engine is warm, this could be it.
