It idles fine but ticks pretty bad like a loud lifter but its coming from the top and bottom of the engine. But its so hard to pin point it so I thought the sound from the bottom might just be echoing from the top. It ticks through most the rpm until its drowned out by the exhaust. And if I get into any boost its like its just slipping and not going anywhere. Last night I was messing with it and the ability to go into boost and actually drive the car came back and it was still strong nothing seemed wrong except ofcourse for the ticking. And the only thing I did was mess around with the coil packs which where all firing when it was running like crap but somehow after messing with them the power came back. So I was just thinking bad lifter tick. But today when I tried to drive back to my house at college I lost the ability to get into any boost so I turned around and babied it home. Ive never heard what it sounds like when a car actually spins a bearing and knocks. Would the fact that I have no power point to a spun bearing? And if so I'm confused as to why it would come back and run fine for awhile and then loose it again.
