Message engine pull, from what I've seen and read. Haven't done it myself. If your mechanic is good enough to get the EGR out with just the tranny dropped, then he should also be able to get to the harness. You need someone else's opinion on this part of it, but overall I wouldn't sweat the EGR delete.
