Subject	Car Cuts off after its warmed up

Message	This happened twice this week. I drove to work which 45min away and pulled into a spot and before I could put it in reverse it cut off and did not start for several hours. And it happened last night drove for about 25 min stopped to get gas, cut the car off filled up, tried to start car would not start had to pop the clutch. This is weird mechanics said they can't do anything unless it doesn't on them. Has anyone experienced this. I know I need a thermost stat would this have anything to do with this problem
