| the problem is, that is a 16 bit ecu (94 na), and the chips i have are for 8 bit. are the 8 bit and 16 bit chips the same? z1 swapped out auto amps, but i do not know which models they used. i asked the tech, and he said it would be a compatible amp. the amps i have are from earlier years, and displayed crazy things on the dash pod. if i changed out auto amps and dash pods from earlier years, do you think they may be compatible and might work? do you think it is the lack of the 16 bit ecu? i will check some of the electrical tomorrow, but i am not the best at relating to the circuit diagrams and knowing what the result should be. i will definitely check out the auto amp voltages in the link supplied, as that is well defined. i do not have a consult, though for this i wish i did. could you explain the fan motor test in more depth, and the circuit path logic (whats supposed to happen, whats normal, whats being tested/manipulated) i have checked for blown fuses, bad relays, and blown fusible links. it is also possible that there is a pinched/cut wire from the swap. i did a ptu reroute several months before the swap. also, some motor oil splashed onto the harness and connections. i spraying crc electrical connections cleaner on most of the connections to flush them out, and they had several months to dry. maybe i could disconnect the battery, flush out the connections that connect to the underhood relay box, and let that rue for a bit. i am using a 94 fsm for the most part. i will also check out the links as well. thanks!!!!!!!!!! p.s. i tried getting the tech to follow the procedure, but it seems like he spent most of his time looking at the wiring diagram(as well as on cell phone). i am not sure if he skipped any of the steps. i guess i will have to learn how to follow the fsm precisely.
