However, sometimes over time the synthetic can return the pliability to the old seals and then they seal up the leak.Synthetic is definitely better in the long run for turbo life, so you might try running the synthetic a bit longer to see if the leak subsides. However, if the smoke is really annoying then you might try switching to a synthetic blend to see if that helps. Otherwise you'll probably have to go back to the dino oil.
