I'm trying to configure my keyless remote with my 1994 300zx, and as you can guess I am not having any luck. The directions do state that you have to insert and take out your key out in and out of the ignition at least 6 times within 10 seconds, and this should cause the codes to reset or something like that, now doing this, does it suppose to make the hazard lights blink on your dash, because when I do that with my key, nothing flashes, so I'm wondering if that could be the problem, because I'm not sure whether its my car or the remote that doesn't want to program.
These are the instructions that I used:
1. Open the rear hatch.
2. Close and lock all doors.
3. Insert and remove the ignition key more than six times within 10 seconds. This will erase any original ID codes from the remote control unit.
4. Manually unlock and lock the driver's side door once using the inside lock lever.
5. Press the door lock button on the remote controller one time. This enters the remote controller ID into the remote control unit.
6. Complete ID enter mode by opening the driver's side door. This cancels the ID enter/ programming mode.
