| the bolt out. The trick is to use run the drill on a slow speed not fast. I first tried by using my Dremel tool and a hi speed 1/16 bit, after 15 mins had gone mabye 1/16 of an inch deep. Got out the regular electric hand drill and went slowly, just pushing a little bit. That did the trick - worked my way up to larger bits and got the threaded part to separate. Whole job took maybe 35 mins or so. Once I got everthing apart - was able to examine the old nut plate closely. It was deformed in the middle - very easy to spot. I guess over time all the window pushing/pulling cause that issue - so having a new nut/plate was a good thing...
