Just make sure you tape it up correctly. That is, tape the connector flat against the cable and make sure the tape wraps such that the overlaps are in the direction that won't snag.
You can also use cable pull lube which make the job a lot easier. It's a tight fit. After proper preparation, mine only took a few minutes to get through. Made me glad I didn't disassemble the pins as that would have taken a lot longer.
