Subject	Brake Lights Remain ON after car turned OFF

Message	Did a search but did not find a clear answer. I do see crumbled pieces of a hard gel-like stopper on my carpet. I imagine that kept something from contacting something (my technical jargon...LOL) I cannnot seem to locate where it came from though. Any help would be appreciated as I am disconnecting battery nightly to avoid the drain. TIA
