running and would then shut down, the car would not start until the PTU cooled down. This usually took 15 or more minutes, not seconds. Based on what you've posted in the past, your problem likely stems from a wiring problem with the alarm installation and not PTU failure as you don't have those symptoms. Not knowing exactly what was done all bets are off on what the problem is. You can refer to the ECU pin out diagram in the manual, section EFEC near the back, pg. 172- 177 (I believe I posted the link to the online manual for you in an earlier post) and start testing continuity to the various components from the ECU to try and narrow down if you got a problem with the signal not getting through. A tedious process to say the least. However, if it was me I would call the company out who installed the alarm and have them put the car back to stock where the car ran normally and have them start over. Since you didn't have the problem prior to them working on the car and now you do it obviously points to something they did when working on it. Good luck.
