| the exact temp). So it's not abnormal for it to be off at the time you checked it. Did you check for trash or other debris that could be blocking air flow through the condenser and radiator? How about belt tension on the waterpump? During the period when it ran so hot, did you notice more fan noise coming from the mechanical fan? As a last resort, there could have been an air bubble trapped in the system but unless you happened to be really low and topped it off recently, I don't think that would be the cause in your case.
