Message	How did the mechanic find out there was no compression> Educated guess, actually used guages and stuff like that> Yes,,you can take the engine out with out a lift but you'll need a engine host. Check compression on all cylinders and do a leak down test if possible it'll tell you where the leak is ,, compression rings air goes into crankcase, out the exhaust,,exhaust valves, out the intake ,, intake valves,,, out into the coolant ,, bubbles in radiator.. But,, from all the driving after it was hot you can have alot of things wrong with it.
