| I'm sort of scratching my head here. When I had a new exhaust put on about 5 months ago, I was getting a lot of smoking at startup. It would just billow smoke (big time) for like 5-7 minutes and then go away once it fully warmed up. I was told this could be the valve stem leaking or initial signs that the turbo seals are about to go. This went on for 4 months. I started using thicker oil, and well, nothing really helped from what I could see. The problem never got worse, though. However, over the last month, after fixing a major boost leak, cam seal leaks, and exhaust valve cover leak, my car doesn't smoke at all at startup.. or at least I haven't seen anything. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it has gotten significantly warmer outside. This is a stupid question but can a turbo seal leak fix itself? What might be going on here?
