If it is electronic (with a sensor which you mentioned) then it is OK. But do NOT put a mechanical fuel pressure gauge inside the cabin! Always think of what is the worst that could happen. You try to save a few bucks because the mechanical gauge is less expensive. But IF it leaks, and IF it catches fire, you will lose the Z, become horribly disfigured or even die all to save less than $80. But to answer your new question, remove the fuel cap, disconnect the fuel pump relay and start the car. When it dies, the pressure will be gone. Re-pressurizing will occur automatically when you turn the key on after reconnecting the fuel lines. Oh and put the cap back on. KK
