ptu recall posts, and it seems that when the recall was performed, the ptu was replaced with a mitsubishi unit. The one on my car is a mitsu, so I'm assuming that the recall was performed, and hopefully it was just a bad connection. None of the connectors looked corroded except the connection that is zip tied around the motor out of the was of the p/s pump had one terminal with a small amount of corrosion. I cleaned all with contact cleaner and a dental pick anyway, and put dielectic grease on everything.
