| VTC (1) VTC (2) My research has shown that aftermarket "Heavy Duty" VTC springs can only prevent the VTC noise if they install at full solid, effectively jamming the mechanism and preventing all VTC function. And surprise, surprise, because they are "Heavy Duty" they are made with larger wire than the stock springs, and most of the springs' solid heights are higher than the space under the sprocket covers. I can only hope that eventually the vendors that sell these things will quit because they are selling a product that cannot deliver on its promise AND allow the VTC to function as designed. Oh well, at least you got your hands dirty working on your Z.
