After doing my own 60K Service including the cam /crank seals I now have a bad leak. It didn't leak at all while sitting and idling and revving it up now and again but after it's first drive it hemorrhaged about a quart. I test drove it, parked it and came out the next morning to find a lot of oil on the ground. I could tell the oil was coming from the top of the timing belt cover on the passenger side. So I went through the agonizing pain of taking her BACK apart. So my intuition was right and this is what I found. A ripped seal at about 9 O'clock and oil pooled at the 5 O'clock position. WTF? How could this have happened? Used the flat side of the old cam seal and a rubber mallet to install it. How can I prevent this from happening again?
