| ok, heres the deal... A/C works fine, but I'm worried that the aux. fan (front of the condenser) is not functioning properly. Car is a 90TT(auto). -engine running, a/c on, parked...no fan. -engine running, a/c on (or off), temp. sensor unplugged...fan on high, also code 13. -also checked ohm readings of temp sensor, all ok. according to the tech write up for tt's, -engine running, < 24mph, a/c on, aux fan should be ON (low speed) I also have the ashspecZ ECU, federal, auto, 92. the tech writeup says that the ECU controls the function of the fan, and i was concerned that my upgraded map may not include the correct values? (just guessing) I could wire it up manually, but I'd really like to have it operate the way it was designed. I asked a friend who owns an a/c shop, and he said that without the fan running (in traffic) the main engine fan is not enough to cool the condenser, causing too much pressure on the high side. he suggested that I leave the sensor unplugged, running the fan on high all the time. (but he didn't know that it throws a code). makes sense, but car accelerates like crap (13). any ideas? thanks!
