Subject	Short shifter pivot ball bushing

Message	Hi All, just a quick dumb question. I'm trying to replace my stock shifter with a short shifter and need to retain the pivot ball bushing to swap over to the new shifter. I can't for the life of me get the bushing to go over the middle part of the OEM shifter's shaft to get it off. Any hints? Thanks, Mike
