Heres the situation, its going to be a little bit long. Ive got my car put back together. I upgraded my injectors to NISMO 555's, replaced the whole PCV system, new valve cover gaskets, new fuel filter and all new fuel lines. Ive been waiting on ASH to return my re-tuned eprom. But I havent heard a word from him since I sent it out (2 wks ago). So I went ahead and bought an used Z1 eprom from a guy from TT.net. (TXQ45) He insisted its an authentic Z1 eprom and that it was for my particular setup, although the sticker w/ the tune "had fallen off." I was skeptical, but for the price and to have it by yesterday, I figured what the hell. So I went ahead and bought that yesterday and had it overnighted. I then installed that yesterday. I finally get to start her up and I hook up the battery and turn the key. Ive now got what I believe to be, a random cylinder misfire.I ran the ecu and got a code 55. I did the balance test to figure out what cylinder may be missing, but when i pull the connector off each cylinder, there is no change. It only changes when i have 2-3 connectors off at once. I then pulled the plugs on cylinders 1-6 and they are black as night. Also the idle is surging about every 20 seconds, itll idle really high, around 1600 rpm's, and then drop to about 500rpm's. Its obviously running very rich due to the smoke in the exhaust and the black spark plugs. Im doubting the fact that the lower o rings didnt seal correctly b/c its all 6 cylinders. The odds of me doing that are very slim. I did a boost leak test this morning w/good results. So what do you think will cause this? Wrong eprom tune? Other suggesstions?
