but I'd start by pulling all the connectors and checking for corrosion, making sure all green contamination is removed. Often that's all it is, but it's the first thing to do IMHO as without good contact there's no way to know if the sensors or other items are functioning correctly. Once that's done, if the problem persists, it could be plugged fuel filter, dead injector, a sensor out of spec, TPS not set correctly, etcThe overheating issue will probably return as it's obviously not linked to the fuel pump.
