Message An accumulator would make sense for your particular setup, but in my case using the Snow Performance system I believe a solenoid and/or an accumulator would not be necessary because there is no pressure to hold back when the system is off and it would negate one of their key features of adjusting water pressure as boost increases.

If I were to build a simple water injection system without a controller (pressure switch only) I would consider using a solenoid.

I am contemplating aquamist uses accumulators because of the design of the pump. They use an electromagnetic piston style pump instead of a centrifugal style pump Snow uses.
