A lot of Z32s have various rattles and noises in the interior cabin. In my car, The worst rattle was coming from the instrument pod shroud (the cover over the instruments).
 The fix was to add a piece of 1/2" open cell foam and sandwich between the instruments and the should cover.
 The foam pad all but eliminated the vibration coming from this part of the dash. The cover compresses and hides all the foam. The foam is not visible after the cover is reinstalled, but I could immediately hear the difference as the rattle was eliminated.
 Additionally, zip ties where used to bundle up and secure some wires under the heater housings that were found to be loose.
