| I had posted this little how-to yesterday, While I was cleaning my car up today I was looking at the front of it and about died, This makes me sick to say the least. I guess no matter how carefull you are, if you drive the interstate its going to happen. (unless you have lots of blue tape ;) Anyway this is a quick way to cover up those unsightly chips in the front. Last for a few weeks/months and works very well. Before... Ouch..
Things needed. Basecoat paint to match car. (or close to the color fo the car) Liquid Wax, Your choice but the very thin High solvent type work the best. Rag Rag Rag Mix a very small amount of each. (this is enough to do the entire car :) I spilled it so i just mixed more up . Mix together.
In very small areas ( practice this please before doing your whole hood) rub into chips with a balled up rag, Smoother the rag the better. High pile rags dont work well.

Let haze very slightly less than a few minutes if that. Once it starts to haze immediatly remove. I use a flexible block with a smooth surface rag. Rub off excess untill completely removed. I only did my nose panel but you can obviously see the difference it makes. Before.
After, note this works much better with solvent type quick wax. All I had handy was some liquid wax which will work but doesnt go into the chips as well.
I like to have some type of solvent handy in case it dries a tad to fast. Either some prep solvent or thinner. Put the rag/towell on the flexible block and mist the rag with the solvent if you have a stubborn part that doesnt want to come off.
