Message :The engine bay is not nearly symmetrical. Neither are the foot wells. The entirety of both footwells would have to be modified signifigantly.

:I would assume THAT much fab work would put you DEEP into the 10k+ range.
:At that point, it becomes signifigantly more efficient to just buy a RHD Z.

You're only half-right. The swap can be done and it doesn't cost all that much if you know what you're doing. The symmetry of the engine bay is irrelevant - the RHD engine fits in almost exactly the same as the LHD version. The only real differences are the engine room positions of the battery and the brake booster/master cylinder and obvious the steering rack, all related throttle/brake/clutch cable parts and pedals. The foot wells are the same length, if they weren't, the firewall wouldn't be almost flat across. To do the swap, you would need to purchase a front cut (with or w/out the motor). Then you'd need to cut the firewall out of your current car and weld in the firewall of the RHD front cut. Then you'd need to mount in the corresponding RHD parts. Then as far as the motor, you need a RHD a/c compressor and tubing and such (unless you don't want a/c then you don't have to worry). Anyway, to make a long story short, it's possible and you can get all the parts for as little as about $350-400 bucks if you already have the motor.
