Message the engine i am working on was for an auto. thus, it has that bearing/pilot bushing of sorts for an auto i guess (i do not know autos). i need to get this part off of the crank so that i can insert a pilot bushing for a manual. i used the pilot bushing in the freezer trick to no avail. i used a pilot bushing puller and slide hammer combination from autozoo on loan, and one of the arms of the puller broke after about 10 tries of pulling. i guess i will see about getting money back for the loaner tool, i do not know how that works either. sidenote, of course the part broke at a camfer/neck, so i do not see why its my fault...error in design. o reilley's did not have a puller. i have not checked advance or napa. i have sprayed some pb blaster on there to possibly free it up a little. does anyone have any suggestions?
