Message I'm guessing you disconnected the gray plug going into the hicas solenoid under the hood, and that fixed the twitching problem. I do not know the cause of your problem but another member on here, Dmoneytt(formerly90na), had the same twitching problem when depressing the clutch pedal, and sometimes it would occur at random. It was a very scary thing since the car would almost semi-violently steer itself one way or the other for a split second.

After trying many, many things to fix the problem over half a year, we were enlightened and figured it would only make sense that the car would steer itself that violently if the rear wheels were doing it. So, the gray hicas plug was disconnected and the problem went away.

This problem seems to be very rare and I have not been able to find or figure out an explanation as to why it happens. But, it's a good reason to get rid of the horrendous hydraulic hicas once and for all since it's way too complicated, time consuming, and expensive to deal with.

Check Dmoneytt(formerly90na)'s old posts.
Check the faq for full hicas deletion by using na parts;
alternatively you can de-vane the rear of your current tt steering pump, plug the hole on the pump where the high pressure hicas line once was, plug the steering resorvoir hicas return line, and rip everything else off all the way to the rear.
Or, just leave it as is if you don't feel like messing with it -the problem is already fixed anyway.
