Message Revised from 10-24-06, now with the Stillen Sidemount Intercooler flowdata.

I was expecting the Stillen intercoolers to flow more than they did. But there is a significant bottleneck in the inlet and outlet pipes as they are cast with the endtank housings. This was documented in Woody's Stillen Intercooler mod post.

Both the inlet and outlet are 1.620" inside diameter.

The Sport-SMICs use aluminum pipe of 2.0" O.D. and an i.d. of 1.898", for a difference of 0.278"; more than a 1/4" difference in inside diameter of the port.

Here is the HKS SMIC: i.d. of 1.740"
