The stock struts have a 1.5" flat spot on he side of the threaded section at the top of the piston rod. The KYB AGX's flat spot is only 1/4" long. The front upper insulator's hole is a half moon shape to fit snugly against this flat spot. owever since the AGX's is only 1/4" long things don't fit.I believe the half moon shape is to keep the rod from turning and wearing out the internal seals. What has everyone who installed AGX's done? I see 2 possibilities (1) drill the insulator's hole round or (2) file the AGX's rod flat for a longer portion of the rod. Anything else? What's the best way to go? [ http://www.courtesyparts.com/z32/oe_shock-front_tt.html ]
