0.008" step : does it mean the contact surface of the flywheel must be 0.008" higher than the clutch cover bolted-on surface ?

I don't know so much about the clutchs, and I bought an aftermarket clutch (Action clutch).

When you push the clutch pedal, what's the max distance the pressure plate moves ?
I were measuring the "standby" distance between the flywheel and the pressure plate, I got 5.25mm.
My 6 pucks disc is 8.2mm thick.

If I have a 0.2mm step (0.008"), it means the pressure plate must be disengaged for more than 8.2 - (5.25 +0.2) = 2.75 mm

Does it look correct ?
