Message When the fuel rail sensor is above 133 degrees, the PRVR solenoid is activated at startup. On the TT there is a pressure resovoir that stores pressure (generated when you boost the car) and this is used to increase the pressure to the FPR's diaphragm, (Fuel Pressure Regualtor), which increases the fuel rail pressure and it eliminates vapor-lock for easy starting a hot engine. Since it has a pressure resovoir, it can hike the fuel pressure up to as much as 0psi + your maximum boost pressure you have run.
On the NA engine, it simply bypasses the manifold vacuum from the FPR which increases the rail pressure to 45psi.

Despite the excellent theory behind the mechanism, its pointless. I have never seen a case where a Z has had a hard time starting up with the PRVR bypassed and a hose simply run from the FPR to the manifold. It also eliminates the possibilities of hoses cracking or some other part of the PRVR system failing, which will cause the engine in a TT to run lean under boost, or an NA to run rich at anything under WOT.
