An auto ecu will set timing at 25deg when idling (which raises your rpm to avoid stalling) when you apply throttle it will move to 15 and behave the same as a manual. If you set your idle timing at 15deg after the conversion, you have actually retarded your total timing by 10 degrees (explains your sluggish performance) Grounding pin 13 on the ecu (neutral switch) eliminates the 10deg auto advance. Then you can reset your base timing and hard idle and enjoy.
