Message Ah, duly noted -- will fill out the profile soon, had quickly typed the OP in the garage on the iPad.

As for now, here's a more detailed description of the engine bits:
--JWT twin pop, single MAF
--Greddy Intercoolers
--Sport 600's
--750cc injectors, changed during rebuild ~30000 miles ago
--Forged pistons/rods
--Extrude-honed stock headers
--3" down/test pipes w Greddy SP1 if that somehow matters
--#6 was very slightly over-bored and had larger rings installed on rebuild (no idea why, but this is what the order sheets say in the box of paperwork that came with it when purchased a few years ago) -- assumed compression was good due to difference in power between fire/no-fire but will definitely check now
--Apexi Super-AFC

Will try the things you mentioned. Putting new plugs in improved the situation but did not eliminate it. Have not checked the coolant temp sensor but I'll add it to the list. I took it on a drive to San Antonio last night and tried significantly adjusting the fuel mixture at cruise throttle on the highway, but with no discernible effect. Will check in with various test results. Thank you guys.
