Message I've had a lot experience with BMW M and Dinan (Bilstein Sport suspensions). So here goes, the Dinan setup is worlds better than the stock M3 setup and it is a semi-comfortable ride compared to my (stock) TTZ. The TTZ is more capable with its suspension than the Dinan Stage III (and feels better imho, more sporty and harsh communicates the road better) by a bit. I would have to say that the TTZ is much more and above than any M3 and M5 I've driven (5+ M3s and 3+ M5s, all pristine condition). They are smooth, but roll when pushed hard and just absorb bumps because thats the intention of a BMW. BMW equals a semi-firm, well handling sedan in all applications! So the point is the TTZ, is better (for sporting application) than BMW suspensions.
Now for the Porsches (ooh, I need to get me one of these in addition to the Z :), they too are incredible handlers. After driving many, I would have to say they go in between the TTZ and M3 in feel. They feel communicative/yet they are refined. The non turbo 993s are as almost as capable as the TTZ's suspension, but this is not general opinion (TTZ's potential doesn't always surface in the minds of many non-experience Porsche and TTZ drivers) becasue of the weight in most turns, but I would still give the thumbs up to the TTZ. The sport suspensions are better, but only a bit better than the TTZ in the layout that is in the Porsche 911 turbos. The sport suspension option offered by Porsche in Boxster S's and on other 911 (996 and 993) I would say is a lot like the Dinan Stage III suspension on my BMW. Since Porsche knows how to package, they have crisper turn-in and with the wider rubber stick better than the BMW. I feel from experience that the Sport Suspensions are very much like the TTZ's suspension but with a more refined feel of the Porsche (Feels like it takes bumps less harshly, although the Z feels more unit-like and moves like its riding on rails).
This is my take on the matter. I hope this shed some light on the matter,

Good luck,

Salah
