If that were true, then our cars could make 300 HP with 1.73" SINGLE exhaust. I think it's pretty obvious that this isn't the case. Yes, I'm sure you could build an engine that could make 300 HP with 3" single exhaust, but if you put dual 3.5" on it, the engine would make 1200 HP. The HP limit for exhaust sizes isn't an exact number - as you approach the limit, your power will go down. It is true that torque will go down with huge exhaust though. Anyway, I am not saying that 3" dual will be better for our cars. I bet that 2.5" dual will give better track times than dual 3". I'm just saying that the 3" 900HP talk is a hyperbole, and we don't want to confuse they guys here (though we don't want ricers either).
