but, there are many tweaks needed yet, and with my last year of school, and work, and no money left... i really dont think i will be able to put up numbers before next summer. the car has t88 supra potential, but, where its at now, it has horrible potential. this "boost leak" is beyond me and i think about it everyday. a boost leak should be easy to find compared to everything else i have done with the car. what i dont understand is it refuses to hold any pressure. recap:
the car was pulling fine(back when i had the bad head gasket problem, which actually turned out to be the small half circle seal under the cam covers on the drivers side) then, after one 3 gear pull through to redline, 4th gear the car started stumbling. it now does not make pressure til about 6k rpm, where before it was pressurizing around 4500rpm. and the pressure is not coming on hard at all, like 5psi @ 6500 rpm. horrible. so when the car stopped boosting and started stumbling, i decided to replace the head gaskets/injectors all at once. now this boost problem was here before i put in the 850 border injectors and the tomei head gaskets, so i dont feel that they have any part in the problem. i am just completely blown away at something like a small leak around a silicone hose can cause such a huge difference. it seems like an intercooler pipe has blown off. but its not so. i have checked every connection 10 times. they are all hose clamped tight, the only thing i can think of is that a hose blew off, but its not the case. =/
i've been going through thoughts of buying a new turbo to see if thats the problem, but i dont want to do that, because i am almost 100% sure its not the turbo cause it spins perfectly freely and doesnt have any play. hoping someone can shed some light, and give me a clue thx
