Message anyone wants to take a crack at them.

The patient, John's 90 TT:

First:
"Just say No to ghetto eBay filters", this thing is dinky compared to a JWT Pop.

"You know you fucked up when you have a Polak under your hood."

"Mommy - why do Iridium plugs suck? Becasue they are too damn short:"

Anyonw know who makes a clutch w. a red cover?

The reason for all this in the first place: blown out exhaust manifold gasket:

Ever wonder where the detonation sensor hides?

Try not to drop that:

Anyone ever seen this kid of corrosion to a head light mount?

Installed and ready:

Sporting a new (used) fascia that even was the correct color.

All in all this project took about 3 days, I worked all 3, Kaz 2 and Spee did the tranny reinstall.

Total Project:
tranny drop
Remove engine
replace oil lines, plugs exhaust manifold gasket
full 60k, fuel filter, pcvs (& repair hard fitting on DS rear), fix cross threaded DS EGR tube
clean & prep all electrical connectors
ES tension rods
remove & repair both head lights, install HID under fascia, replace fascia
replace countless missing or incorrect clamps & bolts
fix "rigged" BC install
replace entire EFI harness

We found a lot of cut corners on this one, and it took a bit of time to fix the things we found... including a LUG NUT in the engine bay (none missing on the car's wheels) for those of you "take of the timing belt cover" types. Car test drove well and pulled 9 and 15 lbs w. out issue, so far so good.
