| Well we loaded up and went to the dyno again today with Jason's car with his new RPS Carbon Carbon twin disc. I must say that is an awesome clutch. Feels as close to stock as you could ever get but has the balls to hold extreme Hp. Well we didn't get what we wanted but it is still decent. We got the car on the dyno about lunch time and the guys at the shop told us we needed to hurry because they wanted to close shop at 3:30-4:00 so they couls head to the track :-(. So we didn't have the time we needed to properly tune and run the thing. Anyway enough of the excuses. First several runs I just eased into it to make sure the clutch would hold. Then we tried to get the boost higher then the 24 Lbs it was running last time around. Well it would spike up to about 28 Lbs and jump around from 24 to 28 Lbs. We tried several things to level it out but no luck. We did get 667.4 Rwhp on the inconsistant boost. Then since we messed around trying to get the boost stable for so long we ran out of time and had to run several back to back runs with the nitrous on a very heat soaked car. We managed a 754.9 Rwhp run though. Anyway enough with the excuses...here is the chart:
You can see in the 667 chart how the boost was jumping all over the place. Also the 754.9 Rwhp was done at 24 Lbs of boost (because it was more stable) and a 60 Hp shot of dry Nitrous. No real tuning of the timing and no cooling of the intercoolers was done for the 754 run. Actually on that run the car was so hot and heat soaked it puked some coolant out of the cap after the run :-(. Fire away......I know it is not the best charts but I figured I would give a progress report. Plus 667 Rwhp on fluctuating boost is not all that bad ;-)
