Message	standpoint. The darker wheels break up the simplicity a bit, and lend a more heterogenous visual to the overall look of the car. But since the wheels become darker, and the car is dark, I think it draws more attention to the lines of the car, while still keeping an understated strength to the wheels. I'm not sure it would work with any other color than yours and perhaps a dark grey car. When it's that close of a call, it boils down to something that rarely should be the deciding factor, but in this case I think it is justified - personal taste.
