| Feather the clutch... dropping the clutch is never a good idea on normal street tires. Think of slipping the clutch in the same light as hard braking - but in an opposite fashion.  When braking, you want to brake as hard as possible without loosing traction - once you lose traction, it's over.  Same with launching - you want to let out on the clutch as much as possible without losing too much traction.  Nothing wrong with a little wheel spin, but if you really break it loose, you just ruined the launch. P.S. Slipping the clutch also helps keep the revs up.
