Short Version
Peak Power is not whats important
Area Under the Curve is whats important
You should really dyno for reliability and safety not for peak power.

A few more important points people don't realize
DynoJets are not a loaded Dyno therefore you don't get proper loading of the engine which affects boost response. This one of the primary reason why its better tune a car for safety then max power on a dyno. A maxed A/F and timing curve for power on the dyno would suffer dearly on a high altitude uphill pull. Most Dynos unless they are a loaded dyno are not real world loads and do not properly simulate air velocity and other important factors. For reference this why most race teams actually use telemetry to determine fine tuning.

Remember the old expression "Everything runs the strongest and fastest right before it breaks" thats especially applies to cars :-)
