| Sometimes critics read into things too much and become detached from reality. It's like the movie critics who critique a film based on some imaginary set of protocols that exist in their mind, none of which contribute to how good a film is in the viewing public's eye. What you get in the end is something that the "professional" critics like, but 99% of the rest of the world dislikes. Take the Pontiac Aztec for instance... nearly universally hated by the buying public. Yet to the artsy car designers, it was a bold styling move which many are trying to emulate. What you end up with is a bunch of new car designs which take styling cues from a car that nobody likes.
