what was your 1/4 time? Regardless the power, if you shifted at 6900rpm in 3rd, your speed should be 110mph with the gears factor. Now, you were given a fixed length to run. Your speed and rpm would never change in relation. The varients are the power and the time spent to reach the other end.So, if you have huge power, you will be able to rev up faster to get thru each gear down the fixed length track and results in a shorter time. I.e., becoz of the huge power, you engine is capable to rev up 6000rpm in 4th at the end of track, you are scoring 125mph; and becoz of your engine being capable of powerful rev, you spend less time to get there. I.e.2, becoz of the huge power, you spin at the start and build up 20mph before traction, you have wasted 1~2 seconds, and then you get to the end in 15 seconds and might end up running in 5th gear at the speed of 145mph. If you have less power, you will rev up slower to get thru earch gear down the fixed lenght track and also reults longer time to the end of the track. Anyway, if you hit 106mph in 4th at ? amount of time, your rpm should be at 5084. The ET would help to diagnosis. [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=980310 ]
